MONDAY AUG 04 2014
Yesterday, a moist upper low moved gradually from SOCAL northwestward up to and thru Inyo County. That low combined with an approaching vort max to create unstable air in our district. The center of that low should reside over Mt. Whitney this morning. Flash Flood Watch still in place thru this morning. Along with this today, isolated gusty winds could develop just about anywhere. Small hail is possible. Drier air will start to move in starting today over the Owens Valley, however thunderstorms are still possible over the mountains and in Mono County. The thunderstorm potential should remain most of the week with a slight chance over the mountains.
