WED JULY 02 2014
Temperatures continue to run above normal for the district thru the work week. As the week progresses, Friday and into the Holiday weekend, a drier SW flow will develop, as our area remains wedged between a Rockies / Four Corners high and a broad trough over the PACNW and British Columbia. So 100 – 103F in the Owens Valley and 82 – 92F for Mono County thru Sunday. On the Monsoon front, its kicking off over Arizona as a couple of Eastern Pacific storms (Douglas and Elida) drift northwestward and weaken. Although some of this moisture could make its way up into S. CA next week (a big maybe) the Holiday weekend right now looks monsoon free.
