A trough of low pressure, which was off the California coast yesterday, is moving thru SOCAL today, on its way to Yuma Arizona. So a chance of light valley rain showers and mountain snowflakes today and this evening. Snow levels between 7,500 – 8,000 feet. Then the big  (for January)  West Coast Ridge builds in on Saturday and Sunday with the start of dry weather and an above normal temperature trend, for most, if not all, of next week.
