More snow?

WEATHER FORECAST: The Owens Valley / The Town of Mammoth Lakes

MON FEB 01 2021 4:04 AM PST

SYNOPSIS: After 113 inches of snow on Mammoth Mountain and 14 inches in parts of the Owens Valley, we got a break, with a nice late January weekend. High clouds have increased today though, ahead of our next Winter storm. This system does not have a pacific moisture tap, and it’s elongated and splitting, with most of it’s associated moisture looking to favor either Northern California or Baja. It’s a fast moving system too. None-the-less, I expect decent snow (10 – 15 inches) on Mammoth Mountain, mainly late Tuesday / Wednesday. Beyond Wednesday, high pressure will build into the EPAC, for dry weather…DMATT
