FORECAST: The Owens Valley / The Town of Mammoth Lakes
FRI JAN 15 2021 4:18 AM PST
SYNOPSIS: Strong high pressure continues its dominance today and over the weekend. So mild temperatures (for January that is). Some cloud cover over our area today, as a weak system pushes through the Northern Great Basin. Early next week, that high pressure begins to retreat farther West. This should allow more inside slider type systems to drop south along the Eastern fringe of the ridge. By end of the week, we might see a few colder systems try to drop down from the North into our area. The last week of the month the storm door could possibly open a little more, for some wetter storms. Don’t count on that just yet, but change is coming, just how extreme is yet to be determined. Stay tuned for updates…DMATT
