AREA FORECAST: Owens Valley / Mammoth Lakes
MON AUG 10 2020
WEATHER DISCUSSION: Sunday we had another round of sparse thunderstorm activity in Mono County. Very little change in our overall synoptic pattern today and tomorrow, as an upper disturbance will drift across Northern California, continuing the trend of scattered thunderstorms in Mammoth and Mono County. Even a chance of a thunderstorm or two in the Owens Valley. The best chance will be on Tuesday. By Wednesday, that system lifts out of the area, bringing on a noticeable dry slot and reducing those thunderstorms chances. This will be followed by high pressure, flexing its muscle and building back into the Desert Southwest, Thursday through the weekend. So after a slight cool down mid week, we are back to dry and warming temperatures over the weekend…DMATT
