AREA FORECAST: Bishop & The Owens Valley / The Town of Mammoth Lakes
FRIDAY JUL 24 2020
DISCUSSION: That area of low pressure over Central CA, the one we talked about yesterday, is moving very slowly SE. With that flow around the low, it should allow for some convergence along the Crest, so still a slight chance of thunderstorms in Mammoth and Mono County over the weekend. Elsewhere, over the Owens Valley, that low should bring slightly cooler, more moderate Summer temperatures today. As that low moves East Sunday, a building ridge of high pressure over New Mexico, takes its place. So those temps will be on the rise again, back to the low 100s in the Owens Valley by Tuesday / Wednesday…DMATT
