Weather forecaster Dennis Mattinson
WEATHER DISCUSSION:
Temperatures up a few degrees from yesterday, as a 580 dm H5 ridge of high pressure slides across the region. Thursday and Friday, high temps look to top out at about 70 degrees in the Owens Valley. Into the weekend, attention turns to a strong trough progged to dig into the area. Right now, its track looks to run across the PACNW and southward into N. CA / NV. So increasing chances of valley rain / mountain snow in our area, later Saturday into Sunday. It looks fairly moisture starved and a fast mover to boot. 1 – 4 inches of new snow is possible in the higher elevations…DMATT
