The upper flow will turn more Southwesterly today and tomorrow. This will in effect cause the monsoonal moisture to push east. The only deviance will be a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms in Mammoth and Mono County today. Otherwise mostly sunny skies and dry weather for the district on Friday and thru the weekend. Along with this temperatures will kick up a bit as well. Temps should continue on the warm side into early next week with the possibility of more monsoonal moisture mid week. Stay tuned.

THE OWENS VALLEY:

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs around 94 – 97 / Lows 61 – 71. Winds SW 10 mph.
Friday: Sunny. Highs around 93 – 96  / Lows 63 – 73. Winds S 10 mph.

TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES (7,800 – 8,200 feet):

Today: Slight chance of scattered thunderstorms. Highs 76 / Lows 50. Winds SW 5 – 10 mph.
Friday: Sunny. Highs 75 / Lows 49. Winds S 5 mph.

MONO COUNTY:

Today: Slight chance of thunderstorms.  Highs 79 – 89 / Lows 42 – 52. Winds SW 10 – 15 mph.
Friday: Sunny then partly cloudy. Highs 77 – 87  / Lows 45 – 55. Winds SW 10 mph.
