FRIDAY MAY 16 2014

wx2

The strong ridge of high pressure, which created our warming trend, is beginning to weaken (currently BP 29.80). All due to a trough moving to our north. It will gradually drop SE into CA tomorrow thru Tuesday. So considerable cooling by Tuesday and a slight chance of showers in the upper elevations. The trough eventually kicks east into the Great Basin, followed by high pressure edging back in behind it on Wednesday. So warming temperatures once again for the latter part of  next week.
