After scattered to numerous showers yesterday, winter-like systems axis shifts into Arizona and Utah. Whats left today is some isolated backside showers, primarily over the mountains of Mono County. Also, temps have dropped to some 15 degrees today, from Mondays highs. Winds will diminish today as the pressure gradient is now below 10mb. Gradual warming now thru Saturday as high pressure builds across the EPAC. A slight tweak in the building ridge, as a weak cold front moves thru on Thursday, bringing in some clouds and flattening the ridge just a bit and thats it.Sunday (Mothers Day) there is the possibility of an inside slider clunking thru the district. If so, windy and mostly dry conditions could prevail. I will update on this in tomorrows forecast.

Owens Valley:

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 67 – 70 / Lows 41 – 44. Winds NW 10 – 15 mph.

Mammoth Lakes (7,800 – 8,200 feet):

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 48 / Lows 30. Winds NW 5 – 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny becoming mostly cloudy.  Highs 54 / Lows 34.  Winds SW 10 – 15 mph.

Mono County:

Today: Partly cloudy. Highs 53 – 63 / Lows 23 – 33. Winds NW 10 – 15 mph.
