A series of atmospheric rivers (AR) will impact the PACNW (and far NE CA) thru the week, as ridging off California keeps that storm track mostly to our north. In the meantime, we will experience some of the warmest temperatures this winter, with the Owens Valley seeing the low to mid 70s thru Saturday. Mono County is looking at 55 – 65 F thru Saturday as well. Late Saturday into Sunday, the ridge finally weakens and brings abundant moisture to Oregon and N. CA. So theres also a chance of snow showers in Mono County as well. Ridging re-strengthens on Monday for dry weather on Washington’s Birthday. Beyond Washington’s Birthday, possible snow in the Northern Sierra down to Mammoth next week. More on this later.
