MONDAY FEB 10 2014

Our West Coast ridge (perma-dome) is still lurking out there off the coast. It is moving northward from its vacation down by Baja / SOCAL and is building into Central California. In doing so, it is pushing the moisture laden atmospheric river north of our area. As it does there is still a slight chance of residual showers in Mono County. So clearing today with a drier NW flow through the week. So as the week progresses we may have a few systems passing to our north, but dry and at times cloudy weather.

Owens Valley:

Today: Mostly sunny becoming partly cloudy. Highs 64 – 67 / Lows 30 – 40. Winds NW 10 – 20 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny becoming partly cloudy. Highs 63 – 66 / Lows 32 – 42. Winds S 10 mph.

Town of Mammoth Lakes (7,800 – 8,200 feet):

Today: 40% chance of scattered snow showers. Highs 40 / Lows 23. Winds N 5 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny becoming cloudy. Highs 46 / Lows 28. Winds W 5 mph.

Mono County:

Today: Isolated showers possible during the day. Highs 46 – 56 / Lows 12 – 22. Winds NW 10 mph.
