TUE JAN 21 2014
Some high clouds over the district through Wednesday, but dry weather as ridging still holds. On Thursday, ridging still resides along 130W, but two shortwaves will attempt to make a run down its front side. So come clouds and cooler temperatures, but (you guessed it) continued dry weather through the weekend. Some models are still showing the ridge beginning to flatten and weaken by mid next week (about the 28th or 29th). This would allow the Jet Stream (storm track) to drop further south. However, I’m not going to get to enthusiastic until I see better model run consistency.
