Thirteen months have passed since the Round Fire scorched 7,000 acres north of Bishop, destroying 40 structures in Swall Meadows and Paradise with no official cause reported by CalFire.
That cause may be coming soon, according to Public Information Officer Liz Brown. According to Brown, the investigation package will include a report on cost recovery, listing the total damages including infrastructure and man power. “The package can’t be released” until that element is completed, she said. “We’re not there yet.”
